Held approximately twice a month on Friday evenings 7 - 9 pm, each dance has a theme such as sock hop, celebrity night, disco night, red carpet affair, luau, etc. Throughout the evening different types of music are played for the different styles of ballroom and freestyle dance - usually the foxtrot, the cha cha, the jitterbug, rock and roll, and hip hop. All the dancers are given tickets at the beginning of the evening which they collect from one another throughout the dance - the more partners they dance with the more tickets they collect - and at the end of the evening we raffle off prizes. At about 8 pm we break for refreshments and the second half of the dance usually consists of dancing games such as the chain dance, the Paul Jones, and the limbo.
